Observation

During an on-site visit for a Complaint, the licensor inspected the playground. While inspecting the playground, the director stated that there were around six inches of covered wood chips. Dispute Description: We are disputing the depth of the playchips on our playground in question during our Licensors visit on 7/7/2022. After Arnold ( One of the Owners ) checked the depth of playchips around the play slide and few other spots inside our play area and we found the depth of woodchips to be at least 9 inches deep before we even added about 5 more inches of playchips on 7/16/2022. We dug out the woodchips on our playground until we exposed the Grey Landscape Fabric installed by our contractors many years ago ( This Grey Lanscape fabric is what separate the dirt from the wood playchips But we have added an additional 5 inches of new wood playchips on our playground on 7/16/22 to make our playground even safer for kids. As of 7/16/22, our playchips depth in our playground is about 18 inches deep. ( We took some Photos ) We are also disputing our Child-to-Satff ratio in question also during our Licensors visit on 7/7/2022. There was a miscommunication between one of our teachers and one of the visiting Licensors with regards to our Child-to-Staff ratio. We have always maintained the required Child-to-Staff ratio and it is our general practice to assist Teachers when they need to leave the classroom and/or Play Area to perform other tasks such as, grabbing kids helmets, helping kids use the bathroom, etc. We also have a copy of the Video File of the child ( Joshia Byrd ) falling from our Playslide showing the child falling on his own without any other child near him and we can provide this video file upon request
